A work-based assessment is a visit to the workplace, by a specialist, to recommend equipment, software, and adjustments that would better allow the employee to fulfil their role. We have a wealth of experience in providing assessments specifically for blind and partially sighted people.
Assessments are normally commissioned by an employer or occupational health provider on behalf of an employee who is blind or partially sighted.
If you employ someone who is blind or partially sighted it can be useful for colleagues and staff to have some visual awareness training. We provide training that offers practical advice and guidance on how to support blind and partially sighted employees. It aims to build participants’ confidence in working with colleagues, staff and customers with sight loss.
