How to reach your target
You can pick and choose items from the fundraising tips list to help you reach your target, whatever that may be.
For example:
- Traditional sponsorship pledges from family = £100
- Ask 10 of your best known colleagues to sponsor you £10 = £100
- Ask 7 of your closest friends to each raise £20 of sponsorship. You would be amazed how many people will sponsor something worthwhile even if they don’t know you! = £140
- Ask your company for £75 = £75
- Sell cakes at work = £35
- 10 letters to local businesses /3 letters to close clients = £250
- Themed ticket party in local bar (venue donated, of course!) = £250
- Ask local pub to donate money from a quiz night = £75
- Organise a raffle/tombola in your local pub or at work (local companies may donate prizes!) = £100
- Get your local supermarket to donate trolley dash and auction it as a prize = £100
- 3 collections outside local supermarket (ask permission first) = £300
- Sponsored swim/cycle by local school or community group = £100
- 3 car boot sales = £200
- Ticketed barbecue/picnic for as many as possible = £150
- Fancy dress day at college/dress down day at work = £150
- 5-a-side football tournament teams from local pub / work / schools = £150
- Place 3 ‘guess how many sweets’ jar in local pubs and aim to raise £50 per jar = £150
- Finally pass your sponsorship form around to anyone you haven’t yet asked and always get someone to put a high amount at the top of the page so that others will follow suit. (Remember always have it to hand) = £75
Total = £2,500
