Anyone else out there? Corneal graft due to herpes zoster and ongoing sight issues.
Hi All I'm Ellen. I have had vision problems for most of my life due to shingles at the age of three which has led to various eye operations and ongoing issues with my sight including two corneal grafts. After a routine appointment with my consultant I have also been diagnosed with a cataract to one eye. I know there are others out in the world with similar issues as damage to the cornea/vision is possible with shingles. Just wondering if there is anyone else out there with a similar history? Would be great to hear from you as I do...Go to discussion "Anyone else out there? Corneal graft due to herpes zoster and ongoing sight issues."
Hi, I am really worried about the condition of my eyes. I think the power of my eyes is decreasing every day. I have to change glasses every single year. My left eye has a power of +7, and my right one has a power of +7.5. I am scared that I will go completely blind if I continue in this condition. I am planning to consult an optician in The Eye Clinic at Edmonton. What might be the cause of this much decrease in my eyesight? Will I go completely blind? Can an operation put an end to this...Go to discussion "Eyesight problem"
Hi, I have had Nystagmus all my life (about to be 30 years) and am coming into contact with more and more people who either have it or have unfortunately acquired it. I would love to hear from people who have the condition or know someone who has. I am also here to offer any practical advice, support or signposting to people from my personal experience. Please remember I'm not a doctor :-)Go to discussion "Nystagmus"
Anyone with my condition?
Hello im Naz. I got diagnosed with Retinas Pigmentosa at the age of around 10. A professor told me that i'd go blind around the age of 25 when i was 11, which was a false statement. The hospital apologised to me 4 months after.. This really shook me and since then i've been in denial about my condition and refuse for peoples help as i've been stubborn about it. I'm a musician thats struggled with day to day life, i've denied all help until now because i understood that people have worse conditions than me. Maybe it's time to...Go to discussion "Anyone with my condition?"

Cataracts - help us
Have you had problems getting cataract treatment? Or have you recently had cataract surgery and it’s made a real difference to your life? If so, please email RNIB via email@example.com or call 020 7391 2123 This is in line with the fact that the NHS is under pressure to make spending cuts and there is evidence to suggest that they are looking at who and when someone should be offered cataract removal surgery so we would like to hear about your experiences. thanks Natalie Many thanks NatalieGo to discussion "Cataracts - help us "
