Activity breaks

Action Activity Breaks are residential holidays for children and young people, aged 8-17 years, who have sight loss and have a good ability to understand and follow instructions. The main aims of Action Activity Breaks are for participants to spend time with others who are blind and partially sighted, to provide opportunities to increase independence, to extend social skills, but most of all to just have fun.

  • Willing to attempt new activities.

How to apply

Download an application form.

The closing date for applications is Friday 15 April 2016.  Our activity breaks are very popular and we receive many applications. You must apply directly to the Action contact for the break you would like to attend.

How are places allocated?

Priority is given to first time applicants. Action will try to ensure a balance of gender, ages and levels of sight loss and this will depend on the accommodation available at the centre.

It is essential to fill all parts of the form fully and accurately. Incorrect information could lead to a cancellation. Please ensure you provide as much information as possible so that we can plan suitable provision to support the needs of the activity break and ensure a safe and happy holiday for everyone.
